personally one of my favorites itch.io games. the story was simple but effective, the atmosphere was amazing, the woods were creepy (honestly i was scared to leave the campfire), and the fight at the end was fun and challenging! really looking forward to see what you make next
It was awesome, I really enjoyed it. I made a lot of mistakes in the game, but that made it even more fun. At the end, I wanted to turn off the computer out of anger, but I won and I enjoyed it. I wish you success

make a setting for 16:10 monitors, the ui is really bugged otherwise. also the trial and error style of progression is really tedious and the game wasn't that scary either
I really enjoyed this game — the atmosphere was amazing and the story kept me hooked from start to finish. You guys nailed the tension and the eerie vibe so well! I’d love to see more projects like this from your team. Keep creating, I’ll definitely be there to play your next one!
The game was great! It took me a while to beat it XDD. Unfortunately game audio in my recording broke and there was no sound for like half of my gameplay, so I just showed three attempts of shooting the deer, they start at 13:36.

Was pretty fun to explore the environment and the ambiance was spooky enough that I was on my toes towards the end. Especially when sitting down and NOT turning around until you need to. That was pretty creative. Wish there was more gameplay to mess around with. Well done
The Not-Deer Stew builds a really nice sense of tension. I liked that mix between something almost cozy and something clearly wrong underneath it. It has that folk horror feel that makes everything a bit more unsettling. Voltz Supreme´s soundtrack makes it even better. Thanks for the experience!
Me encantó el Juego porque me supuso un desafio un poco complicado, el ir descifrando todas las mecánicas, de que si gastabas una bala ya no te alcanzaba para matarlo e iba mas rápido, que recargar te hacia ir mas lento, si volteas muy pronto se va, si volteas muy tarde mueres y muchos otros detalles sutiles que hacia que fracasaras en el intento, pero cuando me lo pase fue muy muy satisfactorio la verdad; me gusto mucho el juego, la historia, los diseños, las mecanicas, el seguir las instrucciones de la receta tambien es satisfactorio y los efectos sonoros me gustaron mucho estan muy bien hechos Realmente me gusto mucho este juego 10/10
Y si tambien pense en que podrias poner un apartado de diferentes armas muy potentes y con rafagas de balas XD para que pudieras pasarte el juego mas facil y asi poder vengarme de ciervo, que literal pense que me estaba pasando el Juego em modo Leyenda :v hahaha perdon, muy buen juego
roawr I would love to make a game like the not deer stew I will give u a example and the reason I want to give u this is because I love the way the game functions. So basically we will start off like the game does and we will move on to hunting normal deer to selling it so a merchant and once u sell it u can buy better gear like swords or guns and better food to cook then we add a tool to make a house and u farm trees to make it and make a story of trying to hunt animals in the snow just all that stuff I have more ideas for it but i can’t really think of one email me at iddndjddnjdididkdj@email.com sorry for the email it’s not my primary just copy it and let me know if u need help making it or email me if u think its a good idea!
I just finished playing The Not Deer Stew and I have to say… this game gives you two things:
A super fun, intense, energetic experience.
The uncontrollable impulse to destroy and burn everything around you because the deer REFUSES to stand still after an hour of playing 😭
At one point I felt like an active volcano — pure rage, nothing but red in my vision. But in all seriousness, I genuinely loved the game.
The mechanic where you have to listen carefully for the Not Deer? That was brilliant. It forces patience and awareness in a way that really builds tension. I enjoyed the gameplay a lot.
Now… I do have to ask — why would the old man bring that TERRIBLE gun to fight what is basically a demigod of speed and sidestepping? 😭 That deer was moving like it trained with Toji Zenin!!
All jokes aside, this game is a 10/10. You absolutely did that. 🤌🔥
The game is awesome! I played it on my channel, its a 10/10 just in storytelling alone. Nevermind the atmosphere, the folk horror, and even the cozy vibe of the game. An excellent horror game, and can't wait to find out what the Great Not Deer Massacre of '86 was! Hope to see that in a future game!
